EU extended sanctions against Russia, Ukraine announced a demarche to Mongolia. Main news for September 12.


The European Union decided to extend sanctions against Russia. These measures will remain in effect until March 2025 and will cover more than 2,200 individuals and organizations. The sanctions include travel restrictions, asset freezes, and a ban on providing financial assistance. The EU Council also removed five deceased persons from the list.
Ukraine announced a demarche to Mongolia during a meeting with a representative of the Mongolian Foreign Ministry. At the same Time, the Ukrainian side hopes for improved relations with Mongolia in accordance with the interests of both countries.
Russian occupiers shelled residential buildings in Kharkiv, causing damage to more than 15 houses and injuring one child. This was the result of the explosion of a FAB-250 bomb.
The blue metro line in Kyiv returned to normal operation. Train traffic will be carried out according to the schedule between the "Heroes of Dnieper" and "Teremki" stations.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau uncovered a corruption scheme in the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration. The state budget losses amount to around 286 million UAH. The suspects were formally charged.
