Finland has begun its presidency of the OSCE.

Finland is chairing the OSCE and setting its priorities
Finland has become the chairing country of the OSCE and has outlined its priorities for this year. Finland's Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen emphasized the necessity of protecting the collective security order outlined in the Helsinki Final Act of the OSCE. She stressed that when Russia challenges security, other countries must stand up to defend it.
Ukraine remains a central focus of the OSCE's activities, and Finland considers it important to support the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence of our country. Despite the challenges, the organization must strengthen its role as a player in the field of security and political dialogue.
Finland also plans to establish a 'Helsinki+50' fund to support the work of the OSCE, which will direct voluntary contributions from participating states. Its goal is to uphold the organization's principles and facilitate cooperation between donors and beneficiaries, as well as strengthen civil society.
