Ukraine has sent the first batch of flour to Syria
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian flour has already arrived in Syria. This batch amounts to 500 tons.
'No one in the world should suffer from hunger. While the Kremlin regime provokes global crises and is the main exporter of aggression, terror, and war crimes, Ukraine remains a guarantor of food security in the world. By the order of the President of Ukraine, we are scaling up the initiative 'Grain from Ukraine' into 'Food from Ukraine', together with partners expanding the range of Ukrainian products and the geography of supplies. Some of our efforts today are aimed at supporting the Syrian people, who have suffered for decades from two regimes simultaneously - Assad and Putin,' said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga.
Also, within the framework of the 'Grain from Ukraine' project, Ukraine has sent sunflower oil to Mozambique. In February, nearly 416 tons of oil are expected to arrive. At the end of January, 73.4 tons of oil and 970.5 tons of flour will be delivered to Djibouti. In addition, 453 tons of sunflower oil will soon be sent to Tanzania.
With the help of international partners, the 'Grain from Ukraine' project purchases products from Ukrainian producers with the aim of combating hunger in the world.
