New fines for Ukrainian drivers
Ukrainian drivers have received notification of the introduction of new fines in connection with planned changes to traffic laws. In particular, some fines may reach up to 34,000 hryvnias, reports SUV News.
'One of the main innovations is the cancellation of the 'no-fine' zone for speeding by 20 km/h. Currently, drivers are not fined for exceeding this limit, which causes some drivers to think that they won't be penalized. After the law is passed, the police will be able to fine for any speeding, even the slightest.'
It is also proposed to establish a noise level limit that a vehicle can produce. Owners of motorcycles and powerful cars that violate this limit may receive fines of up to 17,000 hryvnias. The bill also provides for fines for drifting in cities, for non-compliance with winter tire requirements, and other types of violations.
The adoption of these changes may affect the driving culture of Ukrainians and contribute to improving safety on the roads of our country.
