In a joint decryption by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, 110 valuable items were discovered that Russian occupiers illegally seized during their stay in Crimea from 2014 to 2025. Among the objects affected by illegal archaeological excavations were landmarks such as 'Artezian Settlement,' 'Genoese Fortress of Cembalo,' the southern outskirts of Chersonesus Taurica, the Kadikivske settlement, and the National Preserve 'Chersonesus Taurica.'
According to the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, 'for every war crime committed against the Ukrainian people, there will be just punishment.'
Additionally, intentions were announced to sell companies that manage sea ports in Yalta and Eupatoria as another way to expand Russia's control over Ukrainian property.
According to GUR of Ukraine, the commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, Ildar Akhmerov, was eliminated during a special operation.
After revealing facts about the stolen cultural heritage in Crimea, Ukrainian military discovered Russian occupiers' interference in the country's cultural heritage and took measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
Ukrainian cultural heritage, like that of any country, is of great importance to its history and national identity. The theft of valuable artifacts constitutes a violation of international law and national dignity. Ukrainian military and authorities are doing everything possible to protect these values and avoid further losses caused by offenders.Read also
