Summer Holidays 2025: The Ministry of Education Made an Important Statement Regarding Their Duration.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine stated that the information about the shortening of summer holidays in 2025 is false. This information is spreading on social media and some media outlets.

According to current regulations, the academic year 2024/2025 will last from September 2, 2024, to June 30, 2025. However, June 30 is the maximum possible date for the end of classes, not mandatory for all schools.

The final decision on the end date of classes and the duration of summer holidays is made by the pedagogical council of each educational institution, not the government.

In making decisions, pedagogical councils consider the total volume of educational workload, the security situation in the region, individual student needs, and the readiness of the teaching staff.
