German Chancellor Friedrich Merz condemned Russia for its massive attacks on Ukraine, calling them 'serious war crimes'. This was reported by the German publication Tagesschau.

During a joint press conference with Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof, Merz noted that Russia has recently been 'deliberately and ruthlessly' attacking the civilian population of Ukraine, using drones and missiles.

Merz called the Russian attacks 'terror against the civilian population', emphasizing that such behavior is 'absolutely disproportionate' compared to the Ukrainian response. He noted that Ukraine has made 'precise' strikes on Russian military airports, which differs from Russia's tactics of shelling civilian objects.

Massive Russian strikes on Ukraine on June 10

On June 10, Ukraine was hit by one of the most powerful strikes from Russia, when 322 air attack means were launched. Ukraine's air defense managed to intercept and destroy 284 of them.

The Ukrainian state is receiving support from the North Atlantic Alliance and other partners in defending its territorial integrity during Russia's aggression.
