In Cherkasy, representatives of the UOC MP again did not allow new managers into the cathedral.

The Assumption Cathedral in Kaniv has been transferred to state ownership
The managers of the Assumption Cathedral in Kaniv do not have access to the temple, as it has been transferred to state ownership and placed on the balance of the Shevchenko National Reserve. The priest of the temple and representatives of the UOC MP do not allow new managers. According to the court's decision, the managers have been given 10 days to hand over the keys, otherwise, enforcement proceedings will be initiated, and a fine will be imposed.
During an attempt to visit the cathedral, the parishioners demanded the participation of their representatives in the commission. This was a condition for access to the temple. The commission called the police to document the incident, and the director of the reserve Valentina Kovalenko stressed the need to adhere to the law and avoid conflicts.
The memorial service turned into a scandal
On December 16, a scandal broke out in Volyn due to the refusal of the Moscow church to let a soldier into the temple to hold a memorial service. The only UOC MP church was closed, and the soldier was not allowed on the temple grounds. Therefore, the memorial service took place in the courtyard of the temple.
