In Vinnytsia region, a teenager brutally beat a sixth grader: police reaction.


In the Khmilnytskyi district, a 13-year-old boy beat a 12-year-old schoolboy and filmed the incident. This was reported by representatives of the Main Department of the National Police in the Vinnytsia region.
On January 22, the mother of the 12-year-old boy reported to the police with a complaint. She stated that she saw a video on a social network in which an eighth-grade student from the lyceum beat her son, who is in the sixth grade.
«Immediately after receiving the complaint, the police conducted the necessary investigative actions and found that the incident occurred on January 6. The 13-year-old boy forced his classmate to return to the scene and record the incident on video. Law enforcement agencies thoroughly analyzed the recording and interviewed all participants and their parents, as well as witnesses. They are also conducting preventive work with families and in the educational institution together with social protection services», - noted the National Police.
A criminal investigation is underway regarding this incident according to Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Hooliganism). The final assessment of the legal nature of the event will be provided after all investigative actions are completed.
«At the same Time, we urge parents to pay attention to their children's behavior, emphasize the importance of adhering to legal and moral norms, and to prohibit violence, as conflicts and disagreements are better resolved peacefully», - the police emphasized.
We remind that in Bila Tserkva, a group of teenagers beat a 12-year-old girl. Among the attackers were peers of the victim, as well as boys aged 15 and 16. After information about this incident involving the beating of a minor girl in Bila Tserkva spread, the Office of the Ombudsman reacted to this incident and the violation of human rights.
