A Famous Ski Resort in Transcarpathia Caught Fire.


Fire at the Hotel of the 'Dragobrat' Ski Complex
A fire broke out at the hotel located within the 'Dragobrat' ski complex on January 11. Rescue teams from Rakhiv, Khust, and the village of Yasinya helped extinguish the flames. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
The hotel administration and staff successfully evacuated 20 vacationers and attempted to put out the fire. Specialists from the mountain search and rescue unit in the village of Kvasy provided them with support.
Due to the remote location of the incident, rescuers laid hose lines to supply water.
The Fire Has Been Extinguished
The fire was localized at 14:04 and completely extinguished by 15:06.
Cause of the Fire Is Under Investigation
The cause of the fire and the damages it caused are currently being determined.
Tragedies at Mountain Resorts
We remind you that as a result of an accident in Lviv region, a child who was skiing died. A 12-year-old boy suffered a serious head injury and passed away.
Also, in a restaurant serving Indian cuisine at a ski resort in Georgia, the bodies of 12 people were found - 11 foreigners and a citizen of Georgia.
