Dangerous Weather: Hydrometeorological Center Warns Residents of Kyiv Region About Severe Frosts.


The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center warned residents of the Kyiv region about the approaching severe frosts. According to the forecast, the coldest period will be the night of October 18th to 19th.
During this Time, the air temperature will drop to 0-3 degrees below zero in the Kyiv region and to 0-2 degrees in Kyiv itself. During the day, the region is expected to warm up to 7-12 degrees Celsius, and in the capital - up to 8-10 degrees above zero.
According to meteorologists, the weather will be cloudy with clear spells and no precipitation. The wind is blowing from the northeast at a speed of 5-10 m/s.
"Warning of dangerous meteorological phenomena for Kyiv city and region. Frosts are expected in Kyiv at night from October 18 to 20 with air temperatures of 0-2 degrees. First level of danger, yellow," meteorologists warned.
The situation is more serious for the Kyiv region as severe freezing up to 0-3 degrees is expected the night of October 18 to 19. This corresponds to the second orange level of danger.
Let us remind you that the Ukrainian territory will be covered by an arctic anticyclone named Werner.
