On the night of July 31, Russia carried out an attack on the Kherson region using drones. A man died, and there are also wounded. This was reported by the head of the Kherson regional military-civil administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
«At night, due to a strike by a Russian drone on Kherson, a 68-year-old man died. Also, a 73-year-old woman was injured. She was diagnosed with acoustic trauma. Doctors provided her with assistance on the spot,» the message reads.
Prokudin notes that as a result of the attack, three residents of Oleksandrivka were also injured: «These are two men aged 26 and 53 and a 54-year-old woman. They have mine-explosive injuries and acoustic traumas. Doctors provided them with the necessary assistance and left them at the scene,» he said.
Nine Shahed-type drones were destroyed over the Kherson region.
Attack on Kyiv
It is worth noting that on the night of July 31, Kyiv was subjected to the most massive attack in terms of the number of drones used since 2024.
As a result of the morning air attacks with drones, enemy drones continued to attack Kyiv from different directions, but none of them hit the target. Several enemy attack drones were destroyed using air defense systems.
In total, more than four dozen enemy drones were shot down in the airspace of Kyiv and on the approaches to the capital.
Fire in a residential building
Also, at night in the Kyiv region, due to the fall of drone debris, a residential building caught fire. The building was damaged, but firefighters extinguished the fire.
