Olympic Champion Abramenko Announces His Retirement.


Ukrainian freestyle skier Oleksandr Abramenko announced that he is ending his sports career and transitioning to coaching. He shared this in an interview with "Tribunа".
Abramenko noted that since May, he has refrained from competing professionally and has become a coach for the Ukrainian freestyle skiing team. In addition to this, he assumed the position of first vice-president of the National Federation of Skiing of Ukraine.
Who is Oleksandr Abramenko
Oleksandr Abramenko is a 36-year-old freestyle skier who became an Olympic champion in ski acrobatics in 2018. He also won a silver medal in this discipline at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
In his sports career, Abramenko also holds the title of vice-world champion in 2019. He has earned gold, three silver, and six bronze medals at World Cup stages. Additionally, in 2022, he supported Ukrainian volunteers and those affected by Russian aggression by donating all his Olympic prize money to aid the Ukrainian people.
