Heating payments have noticeably increased: Ukrainians were told the reason for the increase in amounts.

Ukrainians will have their gas delivery bills recalculated
The increase in amounts in heating bills is explained by the outside air temperature, which is the main factor affecting the bill size. In November 2024, the average monthly temperature in Kyiv was 2.7 degrees Celsius. It is precisely the colder month that determines the increase in amounts in heating bills.
Also, about 90% of multi-storey buildings in Kyiv are equipped with building heat meters, so accounting is done according to the readings of the measuring devices. Residents pay for the actual amount of consumed heat.
In November 2024, the average cost of heating per square meter was 24.35 UAH, which is 6.5% more than in November last year. For a reference two-room apartment with an area of 50.2 square meters, 0.75 Gcal of thermal energy was used, for which residents received a bill amounting to 1240.8 UAH.
However, the cost of heating in Kyiv has remained unchanged for the sixth year. The rate for thermal energy is 1654.41 UAH per 1 Gcal.
