Maria Marchuk has passed away - the friend of Volodymyr Ivasyuk to whom he dedicated 'Chervona Ruta'.


In Chernivtsi, a doctor Maria Marchuk passed away during Christmas, to whom Volodymyr Ivasyuk dedicated the song 'Chervona Ruta'. According to Mykhailo Pavliuk, the deputy head of the regional council, the funeral will take place on December 27 at the Central Cemetery.
Maria Marchuk worked as a therapist and met Ivasyuk at the medical institute where they studied together. It is known that Ivasyuk wrote the song 'Chervona Ruta' in 1970, which he dedicated to Maria. The sheet with this song was kept by Maria throughout her life.
The farewell to Maria Marchuk will take place on December 26 at the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin, and the funeral is scheduled for December 27 at the Central Cemetery.
