The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, met in Washington with the U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg. Yermak himself announced this on his social media.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to Russian aggression and support for Ukraine. There was also a call for increasing sanctions pressure on Russia and continuing defensive assistance to the country.

A separate block of negotiations focused on the humanitarian issue of the return of Ukrainian children kidnapped by Russia. 'We also talked about the children kidnapped by Russia. We handed over lists to Russia and are waiting for a response - it is important to bring them home,' emphasized Yermak.

An important topic of discussion was the ceasefire issue. Yermak expressed his position that Russia is doing everything to avoid ceasing fire, and urged to end this practice by force if necessary. The Ukrainian representative also explained the need to continue military operations if Russia refuses to voluntarily cease fire.
