Russia Prepares for 'Training Combat' Launch of Ballistic Missile
On the night of May 19, Russia plans to conduct a 'training combat' launch of the intercontinental ballistic missile RS-24 from the 'YARS' complex, reported the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense.
This step is aimed at pressuring and intimidating Ukraine, the European Union, and NATO countries to demonstrate its strength and authority as an aggressor state.
'In order to exert demonstrative pressure and intimidate Ukraine, as well as EU and NATO member states, the aggressor state Russia intends to conduct a 'training combat' launch of the intercontinental ballistic missile RS-24 from the 'YARS' complex on the night of May 19, 2025.'
According to intelligence, the missile will be launched from a mobile ground complex with a training warhead, belonging to the 433rd regiment of the 42nd division of the 31st army of the Strategic Missile Forces of Russia. The launch will take place near the city of Svobodny in the Sverdlovsk region of Russia.
The flight radius of this missile will exceed 10,000 kilometers, indicating its range and potential threat.
It is worth noting that Vladimir Putin publicly defined the 'necessary outcome' of Russia's war against Ukraine.
