The Ukrainian army is expanding its training program for basic general military preparation. This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, during a meeting on military training issues. He mentioned that changes will be made to the program, particularly in the training of instructors and sergeants.

Syrsky noted that the basic general military training has unfinished issues, but work is ongoing to address them. In addition, he stated that changes will be made to the training courses regarding shooting, sniper training, and tactical pre-hospital care. A system for sharing experiences between combat units is also planned to be developed.

From May 1, soldiers serving in specific categories will undergo a new training program. This program includes a reduction in the duration of training, a decrease in physical load, and the formation of separate training units.
