During the Eighth meeting of delegations taking place in Vienna, a meeting was held between representatives of Ukraine and the IAEA regarding the fulfillment of obligations under the Joint Convention on the Safety of Spent Fuel Management and on the Safety of Radioactive Waste Management. The head of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate Oleg Korikov reported that during the previous rotation, Russia obstructed the work of IAEA experts at the Zaporizhzhia NPP for 80 days. However, Ukraine continues to uphold its international obligations in the field of nuclear energy and safety. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi expressed hope for reaching a consensus among all parties at the meeting.
