On the night of September 5, Belarus destroyed Russian drones that violated its state border. This was reported by the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Defense. According to the Chief of General Staff of Belarus, Sergei Krylov, all violators were destroyed by the standby forces of the air defense.
As a result of the shooting down of the Russian drone in Gomel, a fire broke out. It damaged the roof over an area of 5 square meters, but no one was injured.
According to the monitoring project "Belaruski Gayun", two Shahed strike drones from the Chernihiv region entered the Gomel region of Belarus.
