Deferral for Care — Is It Automatically Extended?.

The deferral from mobilization for the care of close relatives is automatically extended after the mobilization is prolonged. However, it is important to note that such a deferral cannot last indefinitely and ends when the circumstances that justify it cease.
According to lawyer Yuriy Aivazyan, citizens who provide care for close relatives in need are entitled to a deferral from mobilization.
Rules for Extending the Care Deferral
The lawyer received a request from a conscript who has a deferral for caring for a wife with a second group disability regarding the need to submit documents for the automatic extension of the deferral.
'According to the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 560, no additional documents are required to extend the deferral; this process occurs automatically through the Territorial Center for Staffing,' the lawyer emphasized.
Conditions for Ending Automatic Deferral
Aivazyan explained that the automatic deferral can last for a certain period but not indefinitely.
'In the case of mobilization extension, the deferral from military service is automatically extended, but no longer than until the grounds for the deferral are lost,' he explained.
Recently, the possibility of obtaining a deferral from mobilization in cases where the person requiring care is a foreigner was discussed, as well as the impact of parents' retirement age on the formalization of care deferrals.
It is well known that citizens providing assistance to close relatives in need can expect a deferral from mobilization; however, this right is not indefinite and ends when the circumstances that justify it cease. Renowned lawyer Yuriy Aivazyan explained that the process of automatic extension of the deferral does not require the submission of additional documents, as it is carried out through the Territorial Center for Staffing according to established procedures. It is also important to remember that the deferral can only last automatically for a certain period and loses its validity in the case of mobilization extension or in the absence of grounds for further extension.Read also
