The operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) in the Kursk region disrupted the Russian narrative of victory in the war against Ukraine. This was stated accordingly by the UAF serviceman Kyrylo Sazonov.
Firstly, this operation shattered the myth of the invincibility of the Russian army and questioned their successes on the front. Furthermore, it undermined the entire informational policy of the Kremlin.
"The Russian dictator Putin and his entire propaganda machine convinced their population and allies that Russia is slowly winning the war against Ukraine. Secondly, this operation disproved Putin's claims that bandits entered the region and would be pushed out. In reality, the UAF has been controlling the territory of the Kursk region for two months, despite the presence of Russian troops.
As a result of the UAF operation, the enemy was halted in their breakthrough to the Sumy region. According to intelligence data, the Russian army planned to capture this region, but the UAF managed to act preemptively.
