Drivers were explained an important nuance about Ukrainian and international licenses.

Ukrainians were explained the difference between the European standard national driver's license and the international license.
In the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it was noted that the national driver's license is issued after successfully passing the theory and practice, has a high level of protection, and complies with European standards. The international license is a translation of the data from the national license and is valid only together with it.
Driver's licenses issued in Ukraine are valid in the European Union and countries that have signed the 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Traffic. For travel to countries that have ratified the 1949 Geneva Convention on Road Traffic, an international license is required.
You can obtain an international license at any service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs without passing additional exams. For this, you need a national license, a passport, a foreign passport, and a photograph. There are two options for making an appointment - via the internet or a terminal in the service center.
International licenses are valid for three years, no longer than the validity period of the national licenses. A certain amount of money must be paid for the issuance of an international license.
This is important information for drivers planning to travel abroad and requiring international licenses.
