Growing complexity: UN complains about humanitarian aid issues in Ukraine.

UN humanitarian mission in Ukraine: only 30% funded
According to the UN Resident Coordinator in Ukraine, Denise Brown, the UN humanitarian response plan for 2024 amounts to $3 billion, but only 30% of it is currently funded. She states that securing funding is becoming increasingly difficult due to the complex situation in other countries. 'It is becoming increasingly difficult for us to receive humanitarian assistance,' noted Brown.
Denise Brown calls for not normalizing the war in Ukraine and supporting all places in need of humanitarian aid until political solutions are found. In addition, the UN is ready for winter preparedness in the country and intends to reach 1.8 million people. This requires $500 million.
Ukraine is in need of humanitarian aid, with over 14 million people in the country requiring assistance. The situation will worsen as winter approaches and there may be insufficient energy supplies.
