The losses of the DPRK contingent in Kursk have become a cold shower for Kim Jong-un - general.

North Korea suffered losses in the war against Ukraine
The situation with the losses of the North Korean contingent in the war against Ukraine in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation has become a problem for Kim Jong-un, the dictator of North Korea. This strikes a blow to his plans to 'test' his troops before an operation on the Korean Peninsula.
Mykola Malomuzh, General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, confirmed this information. His words confirm that about 4,700 North Koreans have already been destroyed, which constitutes half of their contingent in the Kursk direction. This is a serious loss for North Korea.
This has disappointed Kim Jong-un, who wanted to demonstrate his strength in the war against Ukraine and support Russia, but in fact, his troops turned out to be ineffective. He will no longer have experienced units, as they have been destroyed.
Even after changing tactics, North Koreans continued to suffer defeats at the hands of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. In addition, some North Korean soldiers were captured as prisoners.
Malomuzh also noted that there is a mechanism to pressure the DPRK to prevent it from participating in aggression against Ukraine. The Americans are considering applying this pressure on Kim Jong-un to stop further support for Russia. This could force Kim Jong-un and his administration to reconsider their position and cease assistance to Russia in the war against Ukraine.
