Yesterday, President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) and announced plans to reduce drug prices. The details of this decision will be presented tomorrow. In his evening address, he stated: 'Everyone who assisted Russia and posed a threat to Ukraine's national security must be held accountable.'
Reduction of Prices for Medical Products
Starting March 1, it is planned to reduce prices by 30% for the 100 most essential medical products. The government will provide more details about this decision. President Zelensky emphasized that he wants these changes to be significant and positive for millions of Ukrainians. He also stressed that this is the government's responsibility, particularly the Ministry of Health.
Conversation with Donald Trump and Security Agreement
The President also shared that he had a 'good and detailed' conversation with American President Donald Trump. They discussed diplomatic, military, and economic issues. Zelensky noted that Trump informed him about his conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. There was also a meeting with U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin regarding the preparation of a new security agreement, which is planned to be discussed before the Munich Conference.
Russian Missile Strike on Ukraine
The President also mentioned the missile strike that Russia carried out against Ukraine. As a result of this attack, ballistic missiles and drones were used, leading to casualties and injuries.
