The Armed Forces of Ukraine will be replenished with a third group of fighters from the Ukrainian Legion from Poland.


The third group of volunteers living abroad will sign contracts with the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the end of February
Representative of Ukraine in Poland Vasyl Bodnar reported that at the end of February, the third group of volunteers will sign contracts with the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This group will also include those individuals who were unable to come to Lublin for the previous contract signing.
The diplomat also noted that an increase in the number of Ukrainians abroad expected to become servicemen of the Ukrainian army is anticipated.
Bodnar emphasized the need to strengthen the information campaign so that more Ukrainian citizens abroad learn about the opportunity to sign a contract with the Ukrainian army.
The Ukrainian Legion continues to take shape
Currently, two groups of volunteers among Ukrainians living abroad have already signed contracts with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The creation of the Ukrainian Legion was announced after the signing of a security agreement between Ukraine and Poland.
Participants of the Ukrainian Legion undergo training at a training ground near Lublin and then join military exercises in other locations. Legionnaires are provided with uniforms and medical supplies, as well as infrastructure and equipment during training.
