The White House denies that Ukraine will be able to strike Russian aviation with the help of ATACMS. According to the U.S. National Security Council's strategic communications coordinator John Kirby, most of Russia's bombing aircraft are located beyond the 300-kilometer range from Ukraine's borders.
He emphasized that the idea that Ukraine will be able to strike Russian military aviation with long-range ATACMS is incorrect. After all, most of such aircraft are kept by Russia beyond the 300-kilometer range from Ukraine's borders.
"The idea that if we give Ukraine long-range ATACMs, they will be able to hit airbases and most aircraft that bombard Ukraine - is incorrect," Kirby said.
