Prepare for the worst: expert revealed Russia's plans regarding Ukrainian energy.

Energy expert Adrian Prokip warned in his Facebook post about possible new attacks by Russia on Ukrainian energy infrastructure ahead of Donald Trump's inauguration with the aim of causing maximum damage.
According to the expert, such attacks are usually accompanied by psychological pressure on society and political events.
'They always try to tie these attacks to psychological pressure on society, as well as to political events,' the expert stated.
It is forecasted that restoring damaged generation may take from one to two months, even if the damage is not critical. However, the rise in electricity demand due to deteriorating weather conditions complicates the situation regarding the energy crisis.
Another problem is the import of electricity. Last week, the import volume was only 100-200 MW out of a possible 1700 MW due to a significant increase in prices in European countries. This led to restrictions for non-household consumers.
'Against the backdrop of failures in the energy system, this caused the need to introduce restrictions for non-household consumers. That is, conditions may arise that will worsen the situation with the deficit,' Prokip emphasized.
The Ministry of Energy urged Ukrainians to refrain from commenting on the state of energy in the country after missile strikes.
