Almost 104 hryvnias per kilo: how much do potatoes, cabbage, onions, and carrots cost at the end of April.


Prices for popular vegetables in Ukraine have changed at the end of April. According to data from the Minfin portal, prices for vegetables such as potatoes, cabbage, onions, and carrots were analyzed and presented in a report.
The analysis of vegetable prices in April 2025 showed interesting trends compared to March. Regular potatoes remained at the previous level - 32.60 UAH per kilogram, while young potatoes increased by 1.21 UAH and now cost 42.60 UAH per kilogram. The price of pink potatoes also rose - from 37.64 to 38.44 UAH per kilogram.
Prices for cabbage decreased. The price for young cabbage fell by 9.97 UAH - from 101.54 to 91.57 UAH per kilogram. However, the price for white cabbage increased from 50.83 to 55.93 UAH per kilogram, which is an increase of 5.10 UAH.
Prices for onions changed slightly. The price for white onions practically remained at the previous level, increasing from 101.00 to 103.90 UAH per kilogram. However, the price for bulbed onions significantly rose - by 69%, from 15.46 to 26.13 UAH per kilogram.
The price for carrots also slightly rose - from 42.11 to 43.60 UAH per kilogram, which is an increase of 3.5%.
It is worth noting that prices for eggs in Ukraine also changed sharply.
Analysis:

The analysis showed an increase in prices for young potatoes and pink potatoes and a decrease in prices for young cabbage. The cost of bulbed onions rose significantly, while prices for carrots rose slightly. It is worth noting that vegetable prices can vary depending on the season and demand.
