The government representative named the number of people in Ukraine who are considered missing.

In Ukraine, over 60,000 people are considered missing, most of whom disappeared due to the war and occupation.
According to the commissioner for missing persons, Artur Dobroserdov, more than 60,000 people are being sought, of which about 10,000 are confirmed to be in captivity. Information about the missing has been obtained through official and unofficial sources, such as testimonies from those released from captivity and searches on the Internet.
Ukraine has a Unified Register of Missing Persons where data on all missing persons since 2014 is recorded. The register contains information about military and civilian individuals, foreigners, as well as unidentified bodies. This allows tracking the investigation process and helps identify bodies.
Relatives of the missing persons have the opportunity to receive a deferment from mobilization. The government has adopted a resolution that eliminated the legal conflict and allows for a deferment after obtaining an extract from the Unified Register of Missing Persons. A Unified Information Platform for the missing is also planned, which will simplify communication and speed up the search process.
