ISW Reveals How Russia Hides Aircraft After Operation Spider.

After a successful SBU special operation called 'Spider', Russia began constructing protective shelters at its airbases. Information about this has come from satellite images clearly showing new fortifications.
The American Institute for the Study of War confirmed this information in its report, noting that the Russians are actively enhancing the protection of their airbases.
Bunkers and Hangers at the 'Khalino' Airbase
Photos taken on July 7 show that ten concrete bunkers have been built at the 'Khalino' airbase in the Kursk region, as well as many other fortifications. There is also evidence of the construction of protective structures at other airbases.
According to the report, new concrete bunkers have also appeared at the Sakhi airbase in Crimea. However, no construction has been observed at Dzhankoy so far.
It is also worth noting that at some airbases that suffered from Ukrainian drone strikes, debris from aircraft still lies uncollected. This creates a negative impression on Russian military structures and the public.
Analysts note that criticism regarding the inadequate protection of airbases is increasing, as Russia has only responded to the threat after a series of successful drone attacks during the 'Spider' operation in June this year.
'It is possible that Russia only started building protective shelters at airbases after three years of war in response to the 'Spider' operation in June this year,' analysts emphasize.
Recall that on June 1, the SBU struck a number of Russian airbases using drones, destroying or damaging 41 military aircraft.
Russia is opening bunker season – aircraft have already hidden in the shelters. It is noted that over the two weeks of summer, dozens of bunkers have been uncovered at Russian airbases and new shelters for military equipment have been prepared.
