WSJ: US informed allies about the dispatch of Iranian ballistic missiles to Russia.

Iran sent short-range ballistic missiles to Russia, reports The Wall Street Journal citing European and American officials. The US informed its allies about Tehran's actions.
This happened simultaneously with the increase in missile strikes on Russian cities and infrastructure in Ukraine. Europe and the US are considering imposing sanctions in response to Iran's actions.
In February, Reuters reported that Iran intended to supply up to 400 surface-to-surface missiles with a range of 300-700 kilometers. But the US denied this information, and Iran denied it.
In August, Reuters, citing European intelligence, wrote about the possibility of Iran transferring numerous short-range, satellite-guided ballistic missiles Fath-360 to Russia.
The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine previously stated that they were collecting evidence of the involvement of Iranian officials and companies in the production and supply of Russian drones. Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian acknowledged the supply of drones but noted that this happened before the invasion of Ukraine.
Ukrainian investigators officially confirmed that the Iranian state aviation company Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industrial Company manufactures drones used by Russia for attacks on Ukraine.
President Zelensky criticized limitations on the use of long-range weapons at a forum in Italy.
US Defense Secretary Austin explained why he refused to provide Ukraine with ATACMS for long-range missile strikes against Russia.
